This event will bring together veteran EdTech founders from a variety of backgrounds to connect with new and aspiring founders. The focus will be educational technology, and the content will be relevant whether you are hoping to start a mission driven non-profit or startup.
We’ll start with a roundtable discussion and insights into the process of getting from a kernel of an idea, to a business plan, to a going concern. We’ll then have time for audience Q&A and informal networking.
This will be a great opportunity to connect with and learn from founders who have done it before, sometimes more than once. Also in attendance will be resources from incubators, funders, and technology companies who provide insights, advice and resources to help catalyze new ventures.
Naadiya is a serial entrepreneur by passion, an engineer by training, is Co-Founder and CIO at WomHub, a unique ecosystem builder supporting innovation along the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing) value chain including building talent, incubators & accelerators, female founder innovation spaces and deploying capital. She serves as the Chief Innovator with her focus being on entrepreneurship, gender, future skills and the future of work.
Kagisho is the Co-founder & CEO of Matric Live, a learning platform that has cumulatively given access to over 1 million South African learners from 2020 – present. He's a finance professional & client experience enthusiast with experience in finance, customer service, partner relations, loyalty & rewards programs, project management, digital marketing & EdTech. Kagisho was recognized as one of the Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans in 2022. He is also a One Young World Ambassador, passionate about giving back & the empowerment of the previously disadvantaged.
As the Chief Operations Officer of Construct Education, Meg leads a team that designs and delivers tailored and engaging digital learning experiences on behalf of their partners around the world – this includes higher education and K-12 institutions, businesses, governments, and non-profit organizations. She collaborates with and advises leaders in diverse organizations such as the British Cabinet Office, Oxford Said Business School, Michigan Ross School of Business, and other partners
Hannes is the founder of Hubble Studios, acquired by the Noodle Group of companies in 2023, where he now serves as Chief Learning Officer. Hannes counts his experience across the education, financial and telecommunications sectors.
Tsepo (they/them) is a dynamic leader fostering innovation at scale through strategic partnerships, ecosystem development, and impact investing. They currently serve as the Partnerships and Ecosystem Head at Injini; driving strategic initiatives and impactful outcomes. Their wealth of experience spans from project management and venture development, and they have made significant contributions to UCT Solution Space, Airbnb, and the Social Entrepreneurship Impact Lab (powered by FNB). They have supported numerous social impact enterprises in sectors such as education, healthtech, fintech and circular economy.
